Similar to their first two albums (1969's The Stooges and 1970's Fun House), Raw Power was a slow burn. But in the years following, Raw Power's influence cannot be understated. Although now considered hugely influential, when Raw Power, The Stooges' third album, was originally released in 1973 it was largely looked down upon by mainstream rock. With its barely containable youthful energy and a Tasmanian devil on vocals, the album would serve as a blueprint for the punk revolution that was only a few years away.
